Happy Tuesday guys! I’ve been wanting to do a fitness post for a while now because it is one of my passions and it is part of my routine almost everyday. I usually wake up in the morning walk our cute/crazy little dog, have my breakfast (need my coffee), do some work on my blog and/or wedding stuff then head to the gym!

I have always had an active lifestyle. Since I was young my parents had to do something to get the wild energy out of me so they placed me in soccer, which worked because I took that sport and ran with it all the way through college. I can also say that when Luis and I first met we decided to go for a run haha! Who does that? I don’t know…but it worked for us 😉

Aside from exercise, I believe eating is super important when it comes to health. I was lucky where my mom always instilled healthy eating in our household. Growing up I thought almost everyone ate their organic peanut butter sandwiches with whole grain bread haha! I think it really hit me in high school when friends would ask me about nutrition and what was better for them. I ended up pursuing nutrition in college and received a minor in exercise and health science with an emphasis in nutrition. Don’t worry though, Luis makes sure I eat unhealthy at least once a week haha (plus I love my sweets!).

Just getting yourself to workout is, what I believe, that hardest part. My advice is to go buy yourself a cute pair of shoes or an outfit to get you motivated, then don’t think about it and just get yourself outside and start small. You don’t need to run a fast mile if you are just starting out, go fast-walk your dog for an hour or do what works for you and start small (it will definitely get easier as you keep consistent, I promise).  I will definitely be posting more fitness fashion, tips and motivation in the near future and can’t wait to share with you!
